Grievance Management & Administration
As one of its functionaries, the department of professional affairs through the Union Secretariat, has continued to try and resolve, mitigate and manage employee grievances and related challenges in the civil service and quasi- institutions. The various provinces have equally handled a good number of cases, others in the Union's favour and some were lost.
The Union handles several cases in all the Ten (10) Provinces, ranging from administrative reprimand, suspension, dismissal. The Union has mostly scored reinstatements for those that were dismissed, pardon for those that were on suspension mishandled cases by employers, and indeed our legal team wins Court cases.
Timely communication is very important, as it allows the union to intervene effectively and provide the necessary support or resolution.
