Zambia Union of Government and Allied Workers (UG) Welcomes Reduction in Public Service Corruption
The Zambia Union of Government and Allied Workers (UG) welcomes the encouraging reports indicating a reduction in incidences of corruption within the public service. This positive development reflects the growing commitment of public service employees to uphold professionalism, ethical conduct, and improved productivity.
We commend all public service workers who have embraced integrity and accountability, contributing to the ongoing efforts to combat corruption.
UG pledges to keep supporting the fight against corruption through heightened activities under its Campaign for a Corruption-Free Service (CCFS) project.
We further applaud the Government for its firm stance on zero tolerance to corruption and its continued support for the Anti-Corruption Commission.
Corruption undermines economic progress and threatens national development by perpetuating poverty among the majority of citizens. It is an enemy of social justice and must be addressed decisively.
Together, through collaborative action and a shared commitment to integrity, we can build a more transparent and accountable public service for all.
