UG Women Coordinating Council (WCC) Visits Mtendere Clinic in Lusaka

The Zambia Union of Government and Allied Workers (UG) Women Coordinating Council (WCC) visited the Maternity Ward at Mtendere Clinic in Lusaka today to show support to the mothers .
The delegation was led by WCC National Secretary Madam Mutinta Hankali Phiri and Deputy National Secretary Madam Grace Mutale, the delegation aimed to deliver maternity hampers to mothers and their newborns as a meaningful gesture of care and unity.
During the visit, Madam Mutinta appreciated the clinic’s staff for their dedication to delivering quality maternal health services. She emphasized that such generosity deepens the Union’s connection with the communities it serves.
Joining the WCC leadership were: National Coordinator for Education and Training, Madam Samwaka Sambiana; Lusaka Deputy Provincial Secretary for Organizing, Madam Edna Mulozi; Lusaka District Chair for Women, Madam Melphine Mubala; and Mtendere’s Departmental Workers Committee Chairperson, Madam Serah Lucheshi.
The visit highlights the Union’s firm commitment to fostering compassion, social responsibility, and unity amongst the workers.
