As a Union, we are dedicated to fulfilling our role of informing, educating, and empowering our members regarding all issues related to the public service workforce. We believe that knowledge is an essential resource for every worker. A well-informed worker is better positioned to execute their duties, engage, and advocate for their rights and responsibilities within the public service. To achieve this aim, UG utilizes the Department of Education and Training as well as the Newsletter.
The newsletter produces extensive quarterly editions aimed at keeping our members updated on the latest developments within the labor sector, such as; updates on industrial and labor matters that highlight current trends, challenges, and opportunities impacting public service workers. Updates regarding labor laws and policies, enabling members to stay informed about their rights, responsibilities, and new legal frameworks in the workplace. Engaging stories and reports that showcase the Union's activities, accomplishments, and influence across ministries, provinces, and departments. Highlights of member success stories, union interventions, and advocacy efforts that contribute to a stronger and more responsive public service.
